Use
Person with a disorder
Avoid
Differently-abled/ challenged/disturbed person
Sometimes people use words such as “differently-abled”, “challenged” or even “disturbed” without meaning to hurt anyone. However, these words have a negative subtext, and whenever we use them we might sound condescending or ashamed to talk about disability without euphemisms. The term “person with a disorder” is factual and neutral.
