Intersex person

In ancient Greek mythology, Hermaphrodite was the son of Hermes and Aphrodite, whom the gods combined with a nymph into a creature that was both make and female. This term is associated with myths and legends and is often misinterpreted, so it is better to avoid itt.

The term “intersex” appeared in the second half of the twentieth century. “Intersex” is a general term for a person born with sexual characteristics (including genitals, gonads and a set of chromosomes) that do not fit into the stereotypes of the binary system of perception of male or female sex.

Intersex characteristics are a biological trait and are different from sexual orientation, so the term “intersexual” is also incorrect.
