Gender affirmation (confirmation)

If we are talking about the surgery itself, then we need to either name the specific operation (mammoplasty, vaginoplasty), or write and say “gender affirmation surgery”. “Affirmation”, not “change”, because transgender people identify with a certain gender since early childhood, and the surgery is simply meant to help match their body and identity.
