Identify the problems you can handle with and those you can’t. The “Circles of Control” technique can be useful here.

Draw a circle and write in it everything you can control, for example:
- I speak to others in a caring and supportive manner
- I follow all necessary safety rules during air alerts
- I share only reliable information
Write the things or issues that are beyond your control in the outer circle. For example, beyond my control:
- How others act
- How the government reacts
- Rumor spreading
- Someone dies
- Someone loses their job
- Someone leaves their homes and animals
Be realistic about what you can and cannot control. Let go of things that are out of your control.
Forgive yourself and be forgiving if you cannot be effective or help others in the certain situation.
