Multiple discrimination

Multiple discrimination takes place when an individual or a group of people face discrimination on several grounds. For example, some people are discriminated against because of their skin color, but then can also face discrimination on additional grounds, such as their age, health status of sexual orientation. Such discrimination can, and often does, create cumulative disadvantage and lower the individuals even more on the social ladder.
