International Day of Happiness
The main idea of this holiday is to remind humanity that every day of our lives is worth rejoicing. On this day, you can make anyone happy in any way: buy a “hanging coffee” for a stranger, donate clothes to charity, pleasantly surprise someone or just smile at the people around you. The International Happiness Index is also published on this day. It takes into account the income levels, life expectancy, social support, personal freedom, people’s attitudes towards corruption and the generosity of the people. The overall “happiness index” of Ukrainians in 2020 was 14%, compared to the world average of 40%.
